Arizona Grand Resort Launches Exclusive Partnership with World-Class Fitness Coach
Staley Performance Institute Opens at Phoenix Resort and Introduces Olympic Lifting Vacations
PHOENIX (April 18, 2011) – Arizona Grand Resort® in Phoenix, today announced its exclusive partnership with Charles Staley and the Staley Performance Institute, a world-class fitness teaching and coaching organization, and creator of the proprietary Tri-Cor™ training system offered at the Phoenix resort.
The Staley Performance Institute (SPI) opens in April as a permanent feature inside the Arizona Grand Athletic Club and Spa, which is the largest spa and fitness facility in Arizona. Club members and resort guests will be able to experience onsite personal coaching and training provided by SPI’s expert staff, along with access to the resort’s state-of-the-art fitness equipment and club amenities.
Additionally, Arizona Grand Resort and SPI introduce Olympic Lifting Vacations, a unique fitness-training getaway that uses a structured program of training, education and relaxation. Training programs are coupled with outdoor adventures including biking or hiking on more than 60 miles of trails at the nearby South Mountain Preserve.
Olympic Lifting Vacation packages include a resort guest suite and are available with 3-night or 7-night resort stay options and rates starting from $895* based on single occupancy. The 3-night package provides a minimum of 4.5 hours of training and the 7-night package provides a minimum of 9 hours of training. Guests will receive athlete-training education, small group training sessions, movement assessment, body fat and muscle assessments along with follow-up calls from personal coaches after the Olympic Lifting Vacation is concluded.
Charles Staley is an innovator in the field of personal coaching and competes in Olympic-style weightlifting on the master’s circuit. He has appeared on NBC’s The TODAY Show and The CBS Early Show and is author of Muscle Logic, a book on the practice of EDT (Escalating Density Training), that teaches how muscle size increases if you force them to work harder — not longer. Staley’s latest innovation is the Tri-Cor™ training system that stresses the development of maximum strength, power, and strength-endurance in a single high-voltage workout offered at the Staley Performance Institute at Arizona Grand Athletic Club and Spa
The 20,000-square-foot Arizona Grand Athletic Club and Spa has been voted as one of the "Top 10 Fitness Facilities in Arizona”. Athletic club options vary from the latest fitness classes to state-of-the-art cardiovascular machines from Paramount and Icarian. The facility offers a separate free-weight room, indoor racquetball and basketball courts, a five-lane, 20-meter adult only lap pool and separate Jacuzzi. Additionally, guest and club members can experience more than 45 weekly exercise classes in the aerobic studio including Pilates, yoga, spinning, water aerobics, strength training and more. The upscale locker rooms afford every amenity including steam rooms, sauna, hot tubs, showers, personal care products, and secure lockers. For those who enjoy outdoor adventures, the adjacent 17,000-acre South Mountain Preserve offers exceptional opportunities for hiking, biking and horseback riding.
