Arizona Grand Resort Launches New Grand Playcation Package

Family friendly package highlights partnerships and includes bonus tickets from the SEA LIFE™ Arizona Aquarium, LEGOLAND® California and Children’s Museum of Phoenix

PHOENIX, Ariz. – (May 13, 2010) – Arizona Grand Resort®, today announced the launch of its exclusive Grand Playcation package for 2010 and joins with the new SEA LIFE™ Arizona Aquarium, LEGOLAND® California and the Children’s Museum of Phoenix this summer to celebrate family fun.

Guests that purchase the Grand Playcation package from Arizona Grand Resort will enjoy a two-night Resort stay plus receive tickets* from its partners valued at over $250, allowing guests to experience all four family destinations in 2010.

The Arizona Grand Resort was selected “Best Place for Family Bonding” by Nickelodeon’s ParentsConnect.com and features the 7-acre Oasis Water Park.  The Oasis was named one of the nation's best resort water parks by The Travel Channel and voted “Best Water Park” by AZCentral.com’s Best Reader’s Choice Awards.

The Oasis is one of the Resort’s most popular attractions and has long drawn thrill-seekers to experience its eight-story Slide Canyon Tower***, and beckons all to play along the shores of its gigantic 10,000-square-foot Oasis Wave Pool or float side-by-side down the winding Zuni Active River on double inner tubes.  The Oasis also features the Wild Cat Springs, an 800-square-foot play area with a water deck for non-swimmers.  Dive-In Movies are another great family activity and are featured at the water park every weekend throughout the summer.

Merlin Entertainments will open the new $15 million SEA LIFE Arizona Aquarium at the Arizona Mills mall in Tempe, Ariz. on May 14, 2010. SEA LIFE Arizona will be a 26,000-square-foot-development with 12 different habitat zones housing over 30 displays.  SEA LIFE Arizona is a highly themed environment that transports visitors into the amazing ocean world, educating visitors and providing close encounters with a vast array of creatures from shrimp and starfish to seahorses, sharks, rays and a vast array or tropical fish.

The Children’s Museum of Phoenix offers 35,000 square feet of hands-on, fun and educational activities for children age birth to 10. The Museum’s interactive exhibits are designed to help kids develop the special skills that they need to grow while doing what they do best – play!

About Children’s Museum of Phoenix
The Children’s Museum of Phoenix is located in the historic Monroe School Building in downtown Phoenix. The Museum opened to the public on June 14, 2008 and offers 35,000 square feet of hands-on, fun and educational activities for children age birth to 10.  The mission of the Museum is to engage the minds, muscles and imaginations of children and the grown-ups who care about them. The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays, 9am to 4pm. Special summer hours are now in effect when the Museum is open seven days a weeks through August 10th.
