Friends & Family Holiday Room Special (Nov.21-27)
For local families hosting Thanksgiving festivities, they will breathe a sigh of relief knowing their out-of-town guests can stay at the Resort for a special holiday rate of $99 each night from Nov. 21 to 27. Guests will stay in a spacious one-bedroom suite and will have full access to the Resort’s heated 7-acre Oasis Water Park, open exclusively for Resort guests Nov. 25 to 27—a perfect way to burn off any Thanksgiving feast!
Holiday Open House (Nov. 26)
The Resort kicks off the holiday season with a free community open house from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 26 at the Resort’s Fountain Circle that will be chock-full of festive seasonal entertainment. Kids can listen to Santa tell stories and later have their picture taken with old Saint Nick—just in time to decorate their own gingerbread cookies. A performance of the Nutcracker by Dance Studio 111 of Ahwatukee is sure to delight guests, who can also “drink up” the holiday spirit with complimentary warm apple cider and hot cocoa while they take in a winter wonderland display complete with lighted holiday trees and snow.
Guests are encouraged to bring in a new and unwrapped toy that will be donated to local children in need through the local Boys & Girls Clubs.
Holiday Dining (Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve)
Delicious dining traditions at Arizona Grand Resort continue at The Lobby Grill restaurant including a Thanksgiving brunch buffet from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Nov. 24), Christmas brunch from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (Dec. 25) and New Year’s Eve dinner from 5:30 to 10 p.m. (Dec. 31). Holiday revelers can even purchase homemade tamales to go—a Southwestern staple this time of year for many families—for $12 for a half dozen and $22 for a dozen through Aunt Chilada’s Tempe. Tamales are available in red chile beef or green chile, and each order comes with chips and salsa. Orders require 24 hours advance notice and can be phoned in to (602) 431-6470 from Nov. 26 through Dec. 31. Aunt Chilada’s is located at 2021 W. Baseline Road in Tempe, at the entrance to the Resort.
For something a little sweet, executive pastry chef George Rugel will offer the Holiday Dessert Collection comprised of mouth-watering desserts described as “classics with a twist,” including traditional Apple Pie, a Brandied Cherry Yule Log and Chocolate Pumpkin Marbled Cheesecake. Holiday dessert to-go orders require 48 hours advance notice and can be made between 9 a.m. and 7 p.m. by phone (602-431-6555), fax (602-431-6122) or email (firstname.lastname@example.org) between Nov. 16 and Dec. 22.
